Last Sunday, Luke Humphries managed to secure overall victory at the Players Championship Finals after a thrilling final day. 'Cool Hand Luke' was too strong for Michael van Gerwen after a crazy final.
It was a busy night for both finalists, as earlier in the evening they also had to play the semifinals. In it, Van Gerwen settled with Gabriel Clemens (11-6), while Humphries managed an 11-3 win over Ryan Joyce (11-3). Humphries then found himself trailing 5-9 in the final against Van Gerwen. But with six legs won in a row, Humphries still walked away with the title.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
