In the run-up to the resumption of this year's Premier League Darts on April 19, DartsNews takes a look back on how each player has started the tournament with attention turning this time to Gary Anderson.
Anderson will look to escape potential relegation when the action resumes tomorrow evening and has had a mixed start to this year's Premier League sitting just above the drop zone.
'The Flying Scotsman' began with a draw against late replacement, James Wade with the expectation of course pre tournament that Gerwyn Price would await in a repeat of the 2021 World Championship final.
But despite that, he got off the mark with a 7-5 win over Jose de Sousa averaging 99 with a high checkout of 145. He achieved the most 180's with six on Night Three against Peter Wright but went down 7-4 but again bounced back by easing past Glen Durrant 7-2.
He ended on defeat to table topper Jonny Clayton but his run includes Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen and Dimitri van den Bergh over the next three nights so staving off relegation trouble could be the initial worry for the former champion.
