A 180 is hard enough to land under match conditions. Doing it with darts weighing barely three grams pushes the feat into genuinely eye-catching territory.
That is exactly what
Ricardo Pietreczko has done in a clip that has quickly gained traction on X, after being
lifted from one of his recent Twitch livestreams.
Using so-called Mini Darts, the German professional known as ‘Pikachu’ managed to stack all three darts in the treble 20 bed, something that remains highly unusual even in relaxed training or exhibition settings.
The
video of the moment has spread rapidly online, with the sheer improbability of the achievement driving much of the reaction.
Why the throw is so unusual
Mini Darts are exactly what the name suggests. The darts are extremely small and, depending on the model, weigh only three to four grams per dart. That is roughly 20 grams lighter than a standard professional setup.
With so little weight behind each throw, accuracy, stability and control become far more difficult to maintain. Minor imperfections in release are amplified, making grouping especially challenging. Against that backdrop, Pietreczko’s ability to find the maximum score makes the clip stand out as more than just a novelty moment.
The German has been active on Twitch for almost three weeks now, following a growing trend among professional players to stream training sessions and informal challenges. Others on the circuit, including Arno Merk and Florian Hempel, have taken a similar route, with Hempel recently stepping away from the final phase of Q-School to focus more heavily on Twitch and YouTube content.
Focus shifts back to competition
While the Mini Darts clip has provided some light-hearted attention, Pietreczko’s competitive schedule is about to resume.
Next Wednesday, 28 January, he returns to Milton Keynes to begin qualification for the first major tournament of the season, the
Winmau World Masters. With that looming, the viral moment serves as a brief diversion before the focus shifts back to ranking points and tournament progress.
