Rob Cross was briefly unable to control his frustrations Monday night in his match against Scott Williams at the World Darts Championship. 'Voltage' lost the second set and showed his annoyance by making a lewd gesture.
The remarkable gesture was captured by Sky Sports during the broadcast. It is not clear whether Cross' action was related to his opponent Williams. What is certain is that Cross can expect a fine from the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA). The disciplinary committee cannot appreciate such actions at all. Things then went from bad to worse for Cross, as the former world champion was knocked out 3-1 in sets by Williams.
Often the joke is about the DRA getting their Christmas Party fund from players doing incidents like this and it can be said that this is the same again.
