It is not often that a player misses a nine-dart finish and loses the leg no mind the match but for Nathan Aspinall, he did the latter on Sunday evening in Sindelfingen at the European Darts Grand Prix.
Aspinall missed double 12 for a nine-dart finish and fell to his knees, but was left shellshocked again as he missed a further four match darts.
Ross Smith from there picked his pocket with a 107 checkout in one of the most dramatic deciding legs ever.
