Raymond van Barneveld won 6-5 over
Darius Labanauskas in the second round of
Players Championship 30 on Thursday. A remarkable moment preceded 'Barney's victory.
Labanauskas was on 127 in the final leg, while Van Barneveld was on 121. After the Lithuania hit single 20 first dart, he incredibly stayed in the 20 segment with his second dart, choosing to set up a double for next visit instead of trying to set up a bullseye finish.
Van Barneveld accepted the gift by hitting 121. The 56-year-old from The Hague then confronted Labanauskas with his blunder the previous turn by saying ''thank you for this chance''. Labanauskas could smile at that.
