Last weekend the German Darts Grand Prix was held in Munich. The final victory in the Kulturhalle Zenith went to Michael van Gerwen, who defeated his compatriot Gian van Veen 8-5 in an all-Dutch final. For Van Gerwen, it was only his first title in 2025.
Whoever says Munich automatically thinks of Oktoberfest, which is widely regarded as the largest beer festival and folk festival in the world. Many participants in this celebration come in the traditional Bavarian costume, the Lederhose.
Prior to the German Darts Grand Prix, Jonny Clayton and Joe Cullen stopped by a store in Munich to try on a pair of Lederhosen. "I feel a lot better than what I expected," says Cullen. "These are a lot more comfortable than they look. You get a lot more air to certain areas. If I could wear this tomorrow I'd wear it."
"I'm glad this stretches due to the size of my belly," Clayton laughs.

Beer
German beer is also world famous, especially then the gigantic glasses from which to drink. "How many glasses of beer I must have drunk to miss the darts board? About 20," laughs Cullen. Clayton, on the other hand, keeps it very modest: "6 big ones," he says.
