Is it Michael van Gerwen or Barrie Bates? - Darts fan gets very strange tattoo

That fans sometimes go to great lengths to identify with their idol is well known. But that this does not always end well was evident from a photo that appeared on social media.
A darts fan posted a photo on social media last weekend proudly posing in a Michael van Gerwen shirt. On his arm he had the initials and a photo of the 35-year-old Dutchman tattooed.
But was it really a picture of 'Mighty Mike'? Many followers thought the photo looked a lot like former dart player Barrie Bates, the Welshman who lost the 2006 UK Open final to Raymond van Barneveld.
