Michael van Gerwen has hit the first televised nine-dart finish of 2019 and the first in over a year with one during the Players Championship Finals.
Van Gerwen was taking on Adrian Lewis in a match that ended up a high quality affair and with him 4-3 up, he reeled off perfection. This was a different route to normal with a 180, 177 and 144.
The world number one came one leg away from victory, before Lewis fought back to level the match in leg ten. With Jackpot waiting on double 20, Mighty Mike took out 72 in the leg-decider to claim the win.
