When Rob Cross emerged at the UK Open back in 2016, he was stopped by Michael van Gerwen who hit a nine-dart finish during the tie and he has done the latter again to begin the final of the Players Championship Finals on the same stage in Minehead.
Going 180-180-144, as commentator Chris Mason said never in doubt and it was flawless from the Green Machine as he looks to extend his tally of titles in this tournament to seven tonight.
