Nathan Aspinall has been one of the PDC's top pros for many years. In a quest to get to know more about 'The Asp' as a person, PDC Europe recently gave the former World Matchplay champion a very interesting Q&A session.
The format was as follows. Aspinall was instructed to throw his three darts at the bullseye (or 25 segment) each turn. For each arrow that missed its target, he was then asked a special question, in turn producing some very funny and very revealing answers.
For example, PDC Europe wanted to know if Aspinall has ever stolen anything. "Yes, I have," says 'The Asp' almost with the red of shame on his cheeks. "I can't tell you, but that makes me sound so bad!"
As to who Aspinall would like to commit a crime with and exactly what they would do, he did not have to think long. "Luke Humphries, because he gets away with lots of stuff on the dartboard so hopefully it could be the same!" Aspinall laughed. As for what crime? "I'd like to retire as soon as possible, so probably rob a bank."
Finally, Aspinall revealed that 'Mr. Brightside' by The Killers (his walk-on song) is not actually his favourite song. "It's Moana. How Far I'll Go," he explains. "There is a reason behind it! It's my daughters favourite song but yeah, I always listen to that in the car on my own."
