Last week at the US Darts Masters, Michael van Gerwen comprehensively saw off James Wade but this time around in yet another meeting between the duo, it was 'The Machine' who eased into the semi-finals at the Nordic Darts Masters in a 10-4 win.

This means that the only TV title that Van Gerwen currently holds is now gone and will have a new winner this evening after Wade took advantage of an out of sorts display with MVG averaging 90.7 in defeat.
It is a meeting we will see again though in just over 48 hours time as they will face off in the semi-finals of the Premier League Darts in what could have been a factor in the poor display from the Dutchman who ahead of surgery admitted yesterday that he is only looking ahead to Berlin.
The doubling from MVG let him down early on as he was sat at 14% on the doubles and Wade coasted into a 4-1 lead as a result. It went from bad to worse for him as Wade stretched his lead to 6-1 as MVG struggled sat down at just an 86 average.
Van Gerwen finally stopped the rot as he looked to offer some resilience but further missed darts at doubles crept in and Wade went 8-2 up at the interval.
A 110 checkout was pinned by MVG on return but Wade continued to dig deep and went one away before sealing the deal and sending his rival packing.
