Jermaine Wattimena dumped out Adrian Lewis in the opening round at the World Grand Prix as he reached the second round for a consecutive year in Dublin.

Wattimena came from a set down to defeat Lewis after what was a strong set for 'Jackpot' but the Dutchman grew into the game and finished the comeback to move through.

'Machine Gun' spoke afterwards and admitted it was his best win on stage due to the stature of Lewis and that his confidence stemmed from him claiming the second set after playing poorly to begin proceedings.

"I think that's my biggest win on stage," said Wattimena. "Everyone knows what Adrian's done in his career and he's an amazing player.

"Winning the second set gave me a lot of confidence. I'd struggled at the beginning but I fought back well."
