A BIG SHOCK IN THE OPENER! Jermaine Wattimena sends the World Series Finals Champion on his bike in Amsterdam as he books his place in the Quarter-Finals. Looks like he enjoyed that one!
Jermaine Wattimena set the tone in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on Friday night by becoming the first of six Dutchmen to reach the quarterfinals of the Dutch Darts Masters.
The 34-year-old opened the evening with a 6-5 victory over Jonny Clayton, who had won last year's World Series of Darts Finals.
“I haven’t played well in the last few months, so this is incredible,” Wattimena admitted.
“There was more pressure on me tonight, but the crowd really helped me. I think I played well. I have no words for this. It feels really special.”
