Wesley Plaisier seals PDC Challenge Tour Event 15 title with victory over Scott Mitchell in final

The first Challenge Tour tournament of the weekend has been completed with Wesley Plaisier being the victor over Scott Mitchell in the final of Event 15 in Milton Keynes.

It is a second Challenge Tour title for Plaisier who won one in 2022 amid his European Tour brilliance. It has been a bit more of a quieter one for the Dutchman in 2023, with only WDF titles. But he has added another Challenge Tour to his collection.

He saw off Scott Mitchell in the final in the process 5-2, with victory over William Borland also in the semi-finals. Event 16 is currently underway too in Milton Keynes.

On this tour, spots for the 2023 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2024 and 2025 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.

The number one and two on the Challenge Tour rankings will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the World Darts Championship.
