White came from the brink against Joe Cullen to see off 'The Rockstar'; with the Bradford ace 1-0 up and 2-1 up in the next set on the verge of victory.
Cullen started proceedings by winning the first set without reply against White who struggled to get into the match in the early going.
It went from bad to worse for White as he saw himself the aforementioned 2-0 down; but he stopped the rot with his first 180 and an 82 checkout when his back was against the wall.
From there it was three consecutive legs as he forced a deciding set. The tide turned completely as he claimed four legs on the spin to hit the front for the first time.
Cullen missed further darts at doubles and White doubled his lead; from there he claimed the victory to keep his charge alive.
De Zwaan on the other hand completed a classy victory over Steve Beaton where he only lost one leg in all against 'The Bronzed Adonis'.
The young Dutchman claimed an immediate break of throw against Beaton and despite him claiming the break back, this is where his charge ended as he claimed the first set.
De Zwaan hit the front again in the second set with a 100 checkout and when Beaton missed multiple doubles, JDZ returned to double his advantage then closed out the tie without a deal of fuss.
