Whitlock hits nine-darter en route to win in Portsmouth Darts League

Simon Whitlock as usual isn't letting his time away from the oche go to waste winning the seventh week of the Portsmouth Darts League.

Whitlock who is based down in Hampshire is known to frequent local opens and tournaments to keep his form up or to resurrect it.

En route to winning the league, he also hit a nine-dart finish defeating Andy Jenkins, Corrine Hammond and Wayne France en route after previously winning Week Six as well.

This after reaching the semi-finals of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy this past weekend.

He also reached the latter stages of the World Grand Prix last year but will not be involved this time out falling at the final hurdle in qualification by not reaching the final at Europa Point.
