Jim Williams will make his PDC World Darts Championship debut this month when he takes on Ted Evetts with Joe Cullen awaiting should he successfully come through that hurdle.
Williams as a former BDO World Championship finalist is relishing the challenge of making it to the Ally Pally for the first time.
"It's somewhere everyone wants to play so it's great, I'm looking forward to it. There's not a good draw there obviously, Ted's great, a real nice lad as well so we will give it a go and see how we get on," he said to

Tour Card win and potentially declining PDC chance
Williams has previously admitted that committing to darts at the top level is difficult due to his day job and that is the case with his new PDC career which he admits may have come at the wrong time.
"I've got a lot of other things going on as well so perhaps maybe a little bit at the wrong time but you know. If it goes well, I've got a good chance to stay amongst it.
"I've put a lot into my work so I've got to try and make that work."
"It's tough obviously. Even taking the tour card, it's difficult because of work. It's a big commitment and if you sort of go in there half hearted, you're going to get found out pretty soon. It was a difficult choice but I'm looking forward to the Tour Card and giving it a go.
But did he nearly decline it? Williams admitted he did and that it was a bit of a shock that he made it onto the tour by winning the Challenge Tour in the first place.
"Yeah 100%. I wasn't expecting it because I hadn't played at all, probably 18 months, I didn't play so I wasn't expecting to come back and get it just like that so it come as a bit of a shock perhaps."
