Alan Soutar still cherishes the dream of competing with Peter Wright at the World Cup of Darts, but knows that in doing so he depends on Gary Anderson's desire to compete.
The two highest-placed players from each seeded country compete together in the country tournament. Wright is currently ranked No. 2 in the world, while Anderson follows in 22nd place. Soutar is currently 34th on the PDC Order of Merit.
"Clearly it's going to be me and Gary isn't it, have you seen Peter playing," Soutar joked to Online Darts.
"It is what it is, if you're not Number Two, you don't deserve to be in it. I've always been the Number Three the last two years so if those two guys play in it, good luck to them and I'll support them all the way."
