The draw for the 2024 World Grand Prix has been confirmed which will take place between October 7-13 including ties confirmed for Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries.
Van Gerwen has been successful at the World Grand Prix six times. He won his first major title with the PDC there in 2012, and then also took the title in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022. Daryl Gurney captured the title in 2017, after a thrilling final against Simon Whitlock. The winner of the duel between Van Gerwen and Gurney will meet Chris Dobey or Joe Cullen in the last sixteen.
Teenage sensation Luke Littler will make his debut at the World Grand Prix against Rob Cross. Another first-round cracker is the duel between Michael Smith and Gary Anderson, while Cameron Menzies will make his debut against former finalist Dave Chisnall. Raymond van Barneveld will face Ricardo Pietreczko. If he wins the tournament, defending champion Luke Humphries will possibly win, but first he has to beat Stephen Bunting.
Gian van Veen gets to make his debut at the World Grand Prix against Ross Smith. He is in the same quarter of the draw as Humphries and Van Barneveld, which is further completed by Jonny Clayton and Ritchie Edhouse.
Gerwyn Price begins against Danny Noppert. It is already the third time Noppert and Price meet in the opening round of this event. In 2018 and 2023, the Welshman advanced to the second round each time at the expense of the Dutchman. The winner of the duel between Price and Noppert will get to play again in the second round, when either James Wade or Peter Wright will be waiting.
Dimitri van den Bergh will meet Luke Woodhouse, while Mike de Decker will cross swords with Damon Heta.
Martin Schindler will battle Brendan Dolan, with the winner coming out against Cross or Littler at the last sixteen. Nathan Aspinall will open against Ryan Searle, while Josh Rock will square off against Ryan Joyce.
