Stephen Bunting remains top of the
World Series Order of Merit following the
Poland Darts Masters – despite being edged out in a thrilling final by
Gerwyn Price.
‘The Bullet’ has now reached four finals from five World Series events in 2025, winning two of them, and continues to enjoy one of the best seasons of his career. In Gliwice, Bunting once again impressed, defeating Tytus Kanik (6–3), Krzysztof Ratajski (6–5) and
Luke Littler (7–3) en route to Sunday’s showpiece.
However, he was denied a third title by a resurgent Gerwyn Price, who claimed his fourth World Series crown with an 8–7 victory in a tense last-leg decider.
Price’s run to the title saw him dispatch Sebastian Bialecki (6–3),
Chris Dobey (6–2), and
Rob Cross (7–3) before getting the better of Bunting in the final. The win earned ‘The Iceman’ 12 points, taking his tally to 35 – just six behind Bunting, who remains in front on 41 points.
Rob Cross sits in third with 27 points, having won the Dutch Darts Masters earlier in the year.
Luke Humphries, who triumphed at the US Darts Masters in New York last week, missed the event in Poland and stays on 21 points – still just enough to hold fourth place.
‘Cool Hand Luke’ now sits just a point ahead of
Nathan Aspinall, runner-up in the US. Luke Littler, still without a World Series final appearance in 2025, finds himself in an unexpected sixth place on 19 points.
There’s then a sizeable gap to Chris Dobey, seventh on 10 points.
Michael van Gerwen earned three points in Gliwice with a quarter-final finish, moving to eight overall and sitting eighth in the standings.
Damon Heta and
Peter Wright complete the current top ten with five points apiece.
The final two World Series events of the regular season will be held in August in Australia and New Zealand, before the circuit concludes with the World Series Finals in Amsterdam’s AFAS Live in September.
