Wright and Clayton book hard-fought wins, Chisnall exit after first round

Peter Wright, Jonny Clayton and Ritchie Edhouse are the final three players who have qualified for the second round at the Players Championship Finals.

Wright booked a hard-fought 6-4 victory over 19-year-old Keane Barry, who also averaged 99. Clayton made up for a 3-4 deficit against Alan Tabern and prevailed 6-4.

Dave Chisnall was surprisingly eliminated in the first round. The multiple major-finalist went down 6-4 against Edhouse.
