Wright and Lewis separated on stage after heated tie, Anderson coasts past Meikle

Peter Wright and Adrian Lewis delivered in more ways than one as the second round continued at the 2021 Players Championship Finals.

Both players had to be separated at the end as Wright was confronted by a furious Lewis at the end of the tie to which 'Snakebite' jokily replied during his post match interview that they were discussing whose turn it was to send a Christmas card.

For 'Snakebite' though, it is progression through after he came from 3-0 down to see off 'Jackpot' in a 6-5 decider as the resurgence of Lewis continues albeit he won't play any further part in Minehead.

Gary Anderson despite only averaging 86.3, it was done with ease against Ryan Meikle 6-2 before the all action clash with Wright and Lewis. 'The Flying Scotsman' is now into tonight's third round.

With Daryl Gurney also joining him in a remarkable tie with Michael Smith which saw the latter miss ten match darts before 'Superchin' got the luck and won through 6-5.

Following that, Brendan Dolan continued his run and is also in the line-up for later after seeing off Ritchie Edhouse comfortably 6-3.
