Peter Wright and Gerwyn have both safely navigated potentially tricky second round ties at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest, successfully ensuring a Sunday return.
Wright was up against former Scott Waites in a battle of former World Champions. Starting the better of the two, Wright immediately gained himself an advantage, moving 3-0 up early on. Although Waites did grow into the tie, the damage was done for the former Lakeside champion as he left himself to big of a hurdle to overcome as Wright prevailed 6-3.
For Price, it was the up and coming Northern Irishman, Nathan Rafferty who stood in his way. Price though, was in no mood for a shock result. Averaging over 106, the Welshman hit three 180s en route to a whitewashing of his opponent to sail through 6-0.
