Peter Wright has boosted any slim hopes of a potential play-off run to end the Premier League by snapping a three match losing streak and returning to winning ways against James Wade to end Night 13.
Seemingly buoyed by the return of crowds, Wright won through 8-4 after seemingly suffering with injury last time out with a 98.6 average and 62% on the doubles to boot.
Wade opened up a 2-0 lead to surge ahead in the early going only for Wright to hit back to hit the front at 3-2 reeling off three in a row in the process.
Wright moved two clear from there at 4-2 only for Wade to bring himself closer to levelling the tie up at 4-3 and 5-4 behind.
But a potentially pivotal moment came for Wright who landed a 103 checkout to move two clear again at 6-4 up.
He cleaned up 81 for a 12-darter and a 7-4 lead and at least a point before concluding the tie to claim both points from there in a successful return for 'Snakebite'.
