The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed at the opening Players Championship tournament of the season with some top class clashes as the first winner of the new ProTour season gets closer to being decided.
Among them is World Champion, Peter Wright who could take the World Number One mantle as early as tomorrow from his next opponent's World Cup teammate, Gerwyn Price.
He stopped the charge of Scott Williams and will face Jonny Clayton who averaged 104 in easing past Stephen Bunting.
At the top of the draw, it is two ProTour stalwarts as Krzysztof Ratajski faces Ryan Searle - with the latter averaging 106 in seeing off Jason Lowe 6-1. He is on the march against the last winner of the ProTour last season.
Gary Anderson is looking for his first title in two years and faces Daryl Gurney after defeating Jose de Sousa.
While Luke Humphries faces Joe Cullen - with the latter like Clayton dominating the early going last season on the ProTour and fresh off his Masters triumph and Premier League debut, he averaged 106 to sweep Dave Chisnall aside in a whitewash.
