Wright on new darts at European Darts Grand Prix: "It's specially to win the World Matchplay, New York and this weekend"

Peter Wright hasn't been in the winners' circle for some time on the European Tour but saw off Johan Engstrom to begin his campaign at the European Darts Grand Prix in Stuttgart.

Wright was also using new darts once again and after using notably Jonny Clayton's darts, he says his new one have been designed specifically for the busy run in to come.

"Obviously I've been struggling with my game. These fans here got me through that.

"It's a new dart that I designed with Lee from Red Dragon, it's specially to win the Matchplay, New York and this weekend."

Next up ironically will be Clayton and he joked about the outcome of the game.

"It's going to be a fantastic game hopefully. I'm going to batter Jonny unlucky mate," he joked.
