World Champion Peter Wright has finally claimed his first victory of his Premier League campaign after edging past Rob Cross in a 7-5 win.

Wright spoke afterwards and said that he is getting embroiled in games that he shouldn't be; as well as that he needs to find a new tactic as a result.

This was likely due to him averaging 20 more than his opponent for most of the game and still only just edging through.

"I made it hard work for myself, and Rob is never going to give you a game," said Wright.

"Rob is a fantastic player; so I'm happy to get the win against him.

"I'm finding it hard work up there, I'm putting pressure on myself and I need to relax a little bit more."
