Peter Wright has claimed his first win in the 2020 Premier League Darts as the reigning world champion edged out Rob Cross 7-5 in Cardiff.

It seemed to be an easy win for Snakebite as he cruised into a 3-0 lead with three 13-dart legs and 115 average. Cross averaged 80 at that moment, but suddenly found the trebles and hit a 14-darter and took out 127 to reduce to deficit to 3-2.

In the 11th leg Cross broke Wright’s throw again, which gave him the opportunity to throw for a point in the last leg. However Voltage was not out within 15 darts and Wright hit double 5 to get over the line with two points.
