Peter Wright's mojo seems to have returned with the crowd as 'Snakebite' is still firmly in the Premier League play-off hunt after his latest victory over Dimitri van den Bergh.
Wright has now claimed back-to-back wins after reeling off five consecutive legs to down Van den Bergh in an 8-5 win with a 102.8 average to the former's 107 in a tie which included 12 180's.
He is now clipping the heels of 'The Dreammaker' with 13 points, three points off the top four.
The start of the tie saw the legs shared before Van den Bergh moved 3-2 up on Wright with an 80 checkout. It was soon two clear with a 64 checkout opening up a two leg advantage at 4-2 up.
'The Dreammaker' continued to restore the two leg lead at 5-3 up with an 87 checkout but a pivotal part of the match followed as Van den Bergh missed bull for a 127 checkout and Wright returned to make it 5-4.
It was soon level with back-to-back 180's en route to a 5-5 parity and Wright was soon in the ascendancy as he sat at four legs on the spin to make it 7-5 averaging 103 in the process.
Before he claimed the tie to remain firmly in the hunt for the play-offs after looking out of the race at the start of the week.
