Xiaochen Zong started the new season of the PDC China Premier League with two tournament victories during the first weekend in which four events were played.
Zong has been the dominant force on the Chinese circuit for years and managed to win the second and third tournaments last Saturday. He lost 5-1 to Bin Zheng in the final of the first tournament, but then struck twice.
'The Pandaman' defeated compatriot Yuanjun Liu 5-3 in the final of the second tournament. The 25-year-old Chinese was then also the best in the third tournament by beating Liu again, this time with a whitewash victory.
Liu managed to go home with a tournament victory, however, as he won the fourth event by beating Chengan Liu 5-4.
The top four players at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs. The winner of the playoffs will then receive an invitation to participate in the World Darts Championship.
