Cross first quarter-finalist at European Championship after defeating Cullen

Rob Cross is the first player into the quarter-finals at the European Championship in Göttingen. The former World Champion defeated Joe Cullen 10-7 in the second round.
The Hastings ace took revanche for his defeat to Cullen at this tournament last year in the quarter-finals. Cross came 5-3 ahead after a 13-dart leg, before Cullen leveled the match in the tenth leg with a 18-darter.
After the break Voltage managed to shake off his opponent. The world number two won three legs on the spin, before securing the win in the 17th leg with a 13-darter.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
