Rob Cross and Peter Wright became the last two winners in the first round at the World Grand Prix in Dublin.

Wright reached the last sixteen after defeating Max Hopp 2-0 in sets. The Scotsman claimed the first set with a 14-dart leg and moved 2-0 ahead in the second set. Snakebite then needed six matchdarts to secure his place in the next round.

Cross saw off world number nine Mensur Suljovic after a set-decider. Voltage quickly took the lead in the last set, but survived to break chances from Suljovic in the fourth leg. Cross returned back to the oche and hit double 10 to move into the last 16.
