Van Gerwen hits first nine-dart finish after manufacturer switch

Michael van Gerwen has thrown his first nine-dart finish since his switch to a new darts manufacturer on Sunday afternoon.
Van Gerwen hit his nine-dart finish during his hard-fought victory over Cristo Reyes (6-5) in the last sixteen of the sixth Players Championship event. Mighty Mike took out the fourth leg within nine darts to lead 4-1. However Reyes fought back to 5-5, before Van Gerwen decided the match with a 12-darter.
The world number one is the 11th player to hit a perfect leg during the 2020 PDC season. The likes of Dave Chisnall, Nathan Aspinall and Mensur Suljovic have already produced a nine-darter this year.

- He looks very healthy. I doubt he can run or anything. You need carbs for that. Carbs fuel your brain also. It is the preferred energy source for the brain. Carbs get broken down into glycogen fuel for your muscles. As a rider I totally need carbs. However for a dart player who doesn't need a brain or be fit this diet is perfect.medinabello23-12-2024
