Michael van Gerwen won the unique exhibition in Hannover on Wednesday evening called the Drive In Darts Gala.

The event took place in an open air car park with fans able to watch Van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld plus Max Hopp and Dimitri van den Bergh from their cars.

Van den Bergh replaced Devon Petersen at the last minute, potentially due to ongoing travel restrictions in the UK where ‘The African Warrior’ resides.

Mighty Mike started the exhibition with a 4-1 win over the two-time World Youth Champion and then he defeated Max Hopp 4-1 in the final.

The Maximiser had previously found his way into the final on home soil with a 4-2 win over Van Barneveld.

It also featured some hilarious moments before the action even began as Van Barneveld had a bucket of water thrown over him by Van Gerwen while they were washing cars as part of the VIP experience.
