Beau Greaves and
Deta Hedman clinched an England gold medal during the women's pairs tournament at the
WDF World Cup in the Danish city of Esbjerg.
The two English ladies were too strong in the final, 6-1, for Kirsi Viinikainen and Sari Sauvola from Finland. Earlier, Greaves and Hedman won 5-2 over Dutch ladies Aileen de Graaf and Anca Zijlstra in the semifinals.
As a result, the Netherlands did retain a bronze medal from this event. Greaves and Hedman captured another bronze medal just earlier in the day. In the women's team event, England took third place.
