Gary Anderson has won the 24th Players Championship of the year. 'The Flying Scotsman' defeated Ryan Joyce 8-4 in the final.
For Anderson, it is his second ranking title this year. "I'm happy with that," opened the 52-year-old Scot. "My practice over the [summer] holidays hasn't been great but I came here feeling alright. Yesterday and the day before I was playing well; I've got new darts, they're going well."
Anderson still puts little pressure on himself. "Nowadays if you get me to a darboard, I enjoy playing darts. I just turn up and play darts now, and I giggle when I win."
