Beau Greaves has decided to compete at the Women's World Championship at
Lakeside in December. That automatically means that 'Beau 'n' Arrow' will not compete in the PDC's World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.
The PDC recently announced that they would not be allowed to compete in the
WDF World Championship prior to their world championship. That directly affected Greaves, Luke Littler and Berry van Peer. They had qualified for both World Championships, so they had to choose which to compete in. Littler and Van Peer soon preferred to compete in Ally Pally.
Greaves was expected to choose Lakeside. The WDF proudly announced Wednesday morning that Greaves has indeed chosen the tournament at Lakeside. On their website, she explains her decision.
"I'm still in the early stages of my darting career and having the opportunity to become a multiple-time World Champion is hugely motivating," Greaves said. "I'm playing well at the moment and I can't wait to get back out on that stage in December."
