Schedule and preview Finals Day at 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship

After eight days of darting drama at the home of World Darts, it all comes down to one session to decide four new World Champions at the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship.

It will all begin with the Girls and Boys finals from 5pm with the former being best of three sets and sees the Assen Qualifier, Wibke Riemann of Germany face the Lakeside qualifier, Eleanor Cairns with both having to win straight through to the final.

Unlike the Boys final which sees Bradly Roes, technically with his JDC World Championship win being the only World Champion left in the whole field face Charlie Large who shocked Leighton Bennett, the tournament favourite on Saturday. Now they will contest the final over the best of five sets.

Then the main finals begin with Beau Greaves and Kirsty Hutchinson in the Women's Final to begin proceedings over the best of seven sets format (first to four).

Greaves, the 18-year-old sensation overcame a tough opener against Veronika Ihasz before overcoming potential illness to see off Aileen de Graaf with ease and has been sitting on around the 85 average mark which could be tough to beat.

Long thought of as the next darting hope in the Women's game, 'Beau N Arrow' will be sure fire favourite but will the pressure aid her opponent, Kirsty Hutchinson.

In a pre-tournament wide open section, Hutchinson who had only played one World Championship before was one of the favourites to come through it and has also got better as the format has increased seeing off Jo Clements, Priscilla Steenbergen from a set down before a marathon win over Rhian O'Sullivan.

Her scoring can live with Greaves despite only a sole 180 with mostly 140's being hit by the North East ace but her doubling will have to be on point against Greaves who will take advantage to the full if Hutchinson isn't on her game.

Then following that is the Men's Final which was slightly unexpected to some.

Neil Duff has been to some a brash and cocky character during this year's Lakeside who has given bold and mostly correct predictions about his route through.

'The Duffman' has gone from an 88 average in his first two games to a 94 and 93 in his Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals taking out Richard Veenstra last of all who many expected to move through.

A player who up until recently has not taken the tour on, he already has his Lakeside spot for next year and will be in a direct battle with his opponent for the World Number One spot.

So with that in mind, will his prediction of becoming World Champion and giving his daughter her 18th birthday present come true?

Or will a Frenchman who has dodged bullets in getting here have a say in that.

Thibault Tricole has more than rode his luck at times as number two seed. He survived against Shawn Burt and Andy Baetens in particular seeing off Steve Hine in the middle of that. Before taking out Cameron Menzies in a marathon clash including a crazy final set.

He has already made history as the first French player to reach a World Final and will hope to make even more later on today.

The stage is set. Who comes out on top to conclude a great week at the Lakeside?

Sunday, April 10 (from 5 p.m.)

Girls final: Eleanor Cairns v Wibke Riemann

Boys Final: Bradly Roes v Charlie Large

Women's final: Beau Greaves v Kirsty Hutchinson

Men's final: Neil Duff v Thibault Tricole
