Wesley Plaisier and Aileen de Graaf won the singles titles Sunday at the WDF Belgium Open in Antwerp. For Plaisier, it was the third time in a row he left the Belgian port city with a WDF title.
Plaisier had already won the Belgium Open once in 2022 and in 2023 he was the best at the Antwerp Open. So now he captured the title for the second time at the Belgium Open. He beat Dylan Snyers (4-0), Ziggy Schenk (4-2), Xanti van den Bergh (4-1) and Didier Devuyst (4-0) to qualify for the final. In the final, Plaisier showed his best game by defeating James Vanbesien 5-1 with an average of over 108.
In the women's event, it was De Graaf who got to lift the cup. The Dutchwoman defeated compatriots Sharon Straatsma (4-1), Lerena Rietbergen and Anca Zijlstra (4-1) to reach the final. She then beat Paula Jacklin in the final 5-2.
