Paul Hogan and Richie Howson are the first two players who have secured a spot in the last eight at the World Seniors Darts Matchplay in York, England.
Hogan got off to a strong start in his match against Scott Mitchell. The 60-year-old Englishman took a 4-2 lead with an average of 108 thanks to a 136 finish. Hogan did not give that lead away and eventually 'Crocodile Dundee' put an 8-6 final score on the scoreboard.
The match between Howson and Trina Gulliver was a lot less exciting. Howson quickly gained a 4-1 lead. Although Gulliver then managed to come back to 4-3, it did not get exciting after that. Howson then strung the legs together to win 8-3.
