Schedule for 2022 World Seniors Darts Matchplay: Taylor to face Gulliver or Hedman on opening night in Hull

The inaugural World Seniors Darts Matchplay will take place this weekend at the Bonus Arena in Hull which will be site of five sessions of Tungsten Time.

Friday night will see Phil Taylor after reaching the final of the World Seniors Darts Masters losing to David Cameron face either Trina Gulliver or Deta Hedman who will open up proceedings.

While the ever fired up Keith Deller will face tour standout, Colin McGarry who will finally get his chance to impress on the World Seniors stage. John Lowe takes on Kevin Painter before the aforementioned tie between 'The Power' and one of the most successful female players of all time whatever the outcome.

Saturday's afternoon session will see Tony O'Shea face another qualifier but a well known face in Brian 'Doggy' Dawson. Lisa Ashton returns after her Women's Series exploits to face Paul Hogan.

While Peter Manley after not being involved at Lakeside will get Amarillo going and potentially some 'dark arts' when he faces John Part. Peter Evison previously voiced his displeasure at not being involved in the World Championship similar to Ronnie Baxter but both are now involved with the former champion set to face Deller or McGarry.

Evison on omission from World Seniors Darts Championship field: "I think it's a bit wrong, I've won more than most of them players that are in it"

While for Baxter, it is Terry Jenkins to open up the evening session.

Following that is O'Shea or Dawson facing Robert Thornton, Martin Adams taking on Bob Anderson before finally Ashton or Hogan will take on another former World Matchplay champion in Larry Butler.
