Peter Evison was a glaring omission in the World Seniors Darts Championship field for the inaugural event which is taking place in February 2022.
The former World Matchplay winner was not pleased to be omitted and voiced his frustrations about not only not being in the field but also for his text messages falling on deaf ears.
"I sent a text to Jason Thame (MODUS) and he didn't reply to my message. I just think it's a bit wrong, I've won more than most of them players that are in it. I've got more following than most of them players in it," he said to Weekly Dartscast.
"I just think I must have upset him in some way in the years gone past. I thought he was a friend of mine but you live and learn. At the end of the day, good luck to everyone that's in it, there's no sour grapes. You never know a few of them might die off and I might get to play."
Qualifier
The details of the qualifiers have been announced but Evison won't be there due to the aforementioned reasoning of not being initially picked.
"They don't want me in the players that they've already picked and why should I go to try and qualify when I know I should be there in my own right so I should get it a swerve."
