Cole comfortably defeats Warren to claim MAD Global title, Williams and Fitton retain National titles

Jarred Cole has claimed the MAD Global title with a comfortable win over Wayne Warren 11-3 on Friday evening in Manchester.

Announced at the turn of the year, the MAD structure sees a pyramid which is competed on a regional, national and continental level with players having belts and bids being put in to face these players at the top of the pyramid.

Qualifying tournaments took place for the Contender Series Finals with the belts all on the line in front of a live crowd for the first time.

It was 'The King of the Castle' who proved to be the star of the show as he saw off Warren quickly surging into a 5-0 lead with it taking six legs for 'Yank' to get on the board. After ten legs, it sat at 7-3 before Cole claimed four legs on the spin to close it out.

This after Darryl Fitton and Jim Williams retained their England and Wales National titles with victories over Ricky King in a deciding leg and Jamie Lewis 8-3.

Stuart Wilson and Richard North added Super Regional belts with victories over Scott Taylor 7-5 with an 85.84 average and Rob Collins 7-5 also which began the night.
