Stephen Bunting edged out Peter Wright at the Players Championship Finals after an absolute thriller. The former Lakeside champion claimed the win after a deciding leg.

It was a great game from both players, with 'Snakebite' and 'The Bullet' averaging over 98. However, Bunting made the difference on his finishing as he hit ten out of sixteen darts on the doubles. Wright leveled the game in the 18th leg with a 12-dart leg, before Bunting took the win in the decider with a superb 71 checkout.
Danny Noppert reached his first PDC major quarter-final after defeating giantkiller Krzysztof Ratajski. The Dutchman turned around a 2-3 deficit into a 10-4 victory and will face Bunting on Sunday afternoon in the quarter-finals.
