The 2026
Premier League Darts line-up has been
confirmed on Monday afternoon with Luke Humphries, the defending champion joined by Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen.
The remaining four are Jonny Clayton who returns. While Stephen Bunting also makes the cut once again as does Gerwyn Price. Josh Rock like Van Veen will make his debut in the event and has long been touted as a player to watch in regards to the event. He won the World Cup of Darts earlier in the year with Daryl Gurney and will now make his debut over the 16 week darting roadshow.
Those who have missed out include Nathan Aspinall who despite winning three European Tours has likely been snubbed due to him being World No.14. The controversial pick perhaps this year is Stephen Bunting who since a great start to the season on the World Series has been poor in majors and also wasn't great in his Premier League return either.
Noppert and Wade miss out again
He has also had to deal recently with abuse from fans also
levied at his son Tobias and was criticised for calling himself The People's Champion. But with his fan friendly Titanium walk-on, he gets another crack at the tournament and was in the top four before his early exit at the PDC World Darts Championship. Danny Noppert who reached the semi-finals of the Masters, Grand Prix, European Championship and Grand Slam has not been included again. While James Wade too made the final of the UK Open and Matchplay and was a quarter-finalist at the European Championship and Players Championship.
It all begins on Night One of the Premier League which is in Newcastle on Thursday February 5. The action then heads to the AFAS Dome in Antwerp and the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. The former is a first time appearance.
Trips across to Berlin and Rotterdam are on Night Eight and 11 on Thursday March 26 and Thursday April 16. Finals Night returns again to The O2 on Thursday May 28.
Luke Humphries was crowned the champion after an 11-8 win over Luke Littler in the final last year becoming the first player to complete the so-called
Triple Crown of the World Darts Championship, World Matchplay and Premier League. Both will be favourites for this year's crown after Littler saw off Van Veen in the final of the PDC World Darts Championship 7-1.
