Anderson ruled out of Premier League Darts in Leeds due to COVID-19

Gary Anderson has tested positive for COVID-19 and as a result, he is ruled out of this weekend's Premier League Darts.
Anderson was scheduled to face off against Michael van Gerwen on Thursday night but felt unwell before travelling to Leeds and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19.
Under tournament rules, he is awarded a 6-0 win in the Quarter-Finals and progresses into the semi-finals, where he will play Michael Smith or Peter Wright.

- Not a Dobey fan at all but it’s bizarre that the winner of 3 Players Championship rounds does not qualify ahead of any runner up. The GSOD seems to be going the same way as footballs Champions League with a lot of non winners. The old football European Cup was a tournament of winners. GSOD should be for winners only and by tournament prestige and if it’s ranked.
