The 20th Players Championship event of the season will be played during the second day of the PDC Winter Series on Wednesday. All results can be followed in our live blog.

The PDC Winter Series consists of five Players Championship tournaments from November 10-14. All results during this five-day event count towards the PDC Winter Series Order of Merit.

Update 20:00 - Smith claims back-to-back titles in Winter Series

Michael Smith has claimed back-to-back titles in the PDC Winter Series on Day Two with victory over Jose de Sousa in the final, view the report below:

Update 19:10 - Smith set to face De Sousa in Day Two final

The final of the second day of action at the PDC Winter Series has been confirmed with Michael Smith set to face off against Jose de Sousa shortly.

Smith won the title on Tuesday and will aim to make it back-to-back against 'The Special One' with a 7-3 win against Vincent van der Voort ending the hopes of the Dutchman winning his first title in a number of years.

While De Sousa smashed through Joe Cullen in a 7-2 win averaging 110 with seven 180's in a phenomenal display, can he stop Smith?

Update 18:40 - Smith ends Clemens run with 109 average as semi-final lineup confirmed

The semi-final line-up has been confirmed on the second day of the Winter Series and Michael Smith is potentially heading towards two out of two.

Smith won the first title on Tuesday defeating Jermaine Wattimena in the final and showed his form with a 109 average as he ended the run of Gabriel Clemens who hit his first average under 100 all day in a 6-1 defeat.

Now a rapid fire clash awaits 'Bully Boy' as he takes on Vincent van der Voort who whitewashed Darius Labanauskas 6-0.

In the other half, it is a clash of two European Tour winners this year in Joe Cullen (d. Brendan Dolan 6-3) and Jose de Sousa (d. Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-5), with the winner set to face Smith or Van der Voort.

Update 18:10 - Clemens produces sensational 112 average to defeat Joyce, set to face Smith in Quarter-Finals

The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed on the second day of the PDC Winter Series with Gabriel Clemens continuing his brilliance with a second 112 average of the day against Ryan Joyce.

Clemens has not dipped under 105 today average wise and has been on a destructive run and edged past Joyce in a 6-3 win. Next up will be Michael Smith who only averaged 91 but it was enough to see off Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-2, a winner yesterday though, he will be well up for ending the German's run.

Vincent van der Voort has had another good run and is set to face Darius Labanauskas after the pair defeated Justin Pipe and Krzysztof Kciuk respectively. Brendan Dolan produced a comeback to continue another run for 'The History Maker', this time with victory over Ryan Meikle 6-5.

This means that he will now take on a ranking winner this year in Joe Cullen who edged past Mickey Mansell 6-4. Then it is the turn of Jose de Sousa who reached the latter stages so impressively yesterday and he will take on Jeffrey de Zwaan who saw off impressive Irishman, Keane Barry.

Update 17:35 - Joyce dumps out Price, Clemens continues form with 108 average against Hughes

The Last 16 line-up has been confirmed on Day Two of the Winter Series and the insane standard continues in Coventry.

As do the shocks with Gerwyn Price being dumped out by Ryan Joyce in a 6-1 defeat which saw 'Relentless' who himself this year has won a maiden PDC title smash in a 106 average in seeing off 'The Iceman'.

Speaking of high averages, Gabriel Clemens made it three straight ton plus averages as his form continues. He hit 108 in breezing past Jamie Hughes 6-1.

There was also a thriller involving Michael Smith who made it back-to-back 106 averages albeit in surviving a comeback from Damon Heta who came from 5-0 down to give 'Bully Boy' a late scare.

Also some excellent displays from Darius Labanauskas who hit 106 as well in easing past Luke Woodhouse 6-1, Brendan Dolan who was defeated in the semi-finals yesterday defied a 104 average from Daryl Gurney, his World Cup partner to win 6-5.

While Joe Cullen (102), Jeffrey de Zwaan and Jose de Sousa (101) all have also hit the heights as we head towards the business end.

Update 17:05 - Price edges past Mitchell, Clemens, Smith and Heta impress

The second round is complete at the PDC Winter Series with some big results coming out of the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

It has been a day of big names heading out but for Gerwyn Price, he has began his quest for the title in the second round after receiving a bye but it was nearly his day over with 'The Iceman' surviving in a decider against Scott Mitchell.

While other players continue to impress including yesterday's champion, Michael Smith who smashed in a 106.1 average in seeing off Matthew Dennant.

Gabriel Clemens has been excellent as of late and produced a blistering 105 to see off Peter Jacques. While Damon Heta, a winner on the tour in his debut year hit a 102 average in seeing off James Wilson 6-1. There was also a win for James Wade against Adrian Lewis as 'Jackpot' continues to battle poor form as of late.

Update 16:10 - Bunting edges past Whitlock, Kciuk impresses with 110 average

The first round has concluded on the second day at the PDC Winter Series with some impressive displays to close it out.

A round full of shocks and surprises, this included Andy Hamilton's brilliance with a perfect leg being hit by the Hammer during his first round tie against Christian Bunse.

Krzysztof Kciuk also impressed with a 110 average in defeating John Henderson 6-0. Speaking of Scotland's World Cup team, Robert Thornton is also through after battling from 4-2 down to defeat Lisa Ashton in a 6-4 victory to reach the second round.

Stephen Bunting also didn't play Jeff Smith for the first time in a while and defeated the in-form Simon Whitlock 6-5 with a 101.7 average.

Update 14:35 - Leung dumps out Wright, Aspinall whitewashed by Van der Wal

The first action of the day is complete on Day Two of the Winter Series and the big names have started to fall early on in Coventry including the World Champion, Peter Wright.

Wright averaged 107 so played incredible but lost out to Kai Fan Leung 6-5 who himself averaged 106 and has produced another of his customary big performances.

While 'Snakebite' fell in a close game, Nathan Aspinall was whitewashed by Challenge Tour reserve Jitse van der Wal who averaged 94 in seeing him off. While there were also early exits for Krzysztof Ratajski despite averaging 102 to John Michael 6-5,.

While on his return back from Coronavirus, Glen Durrant has suffered a second consecutive first round exit to Steve West. While Ian White is also out losing to Mickey Mansell and as is the in-form Devon Petersen who was edged past by Rowby-John Rodriguez. Add in Gabriel Clemens opening foray of 112.4 against Matt Clark in the performance of the first round so far in Coventry.

The draw has been released for Day Two of the PDC Winter Series in Coventry. Among the top ties are Rob Cross against Dimitri van den Bergh and Jim Williams versus Scott Mitchell. Tuesday's winner Michael Smith meets Derk Telnekes in his opening game, while Dave Chisnall faces Jeffrey de Zwaan.
