With his incredible performance in the final of the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship on Friday evening at the Alexandra Palace, Luke Littler has now earned more than £1.5 million in prize money since bursting onto the scene twelve months ago.
After losing in the World Darts Championship final to Luke Humphries last year, Littler has taken the darting world by storm, lifting titles on the World Series of Darts, the European Tour, the Pro Tour and on TV at tournaments such as the Premier League Darts, the Grand Slam of Darts and now, the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship.
"He is not just here to win darts matches, he is an entertainer as well. He is the complete package," analyses former Lakeside champion Mark Webster for Sky Sports. "Things have happened it feels like overnight. He is now world no 2 as well and it feels like there is more to come. He is so ambitious, so focused for tournaments to come that is the type of guy he is. He has to celebrate this because of the victory it is but when the season comes, he will be ready to go again. It is not just about Luke, it is about his family as well. It is just a fantastic journey."
Despite having earned over a million and a half pounds before even turning 18, Littler is keeping his feet firmly on the ground. "I am probably the same person [as last year] but this World Championship especially, I let my emotions out after a 180 or a big checkout," said Littler. "Usually I'm too nice on the board but it was good to let my emotions out."
"It probably will [sink in] when I get my head around the amount of money I picked up. But it's about the trophy," he adds. "I don't like talking about the money but it's there."
Luke Littler has now crashed through the £1.5million barrier in total prize money in exactly 12 months!

Most darts players won't win that in their entire career and he's not turned 18 yet. Absolutely staggering. pic.twitter.com/ifCKNmYuDU
