In one of the closest PDC Home Tour groups to date, all four players sat on one win and one defeat going into the final two matches with it going down to two straight shootouts to decide who would win through.
This came after Rob Cross forced himself into the reckoning after smashing in a 107.5 average with four 180's in a 6-5 win over Nathan Aspinall who himself averaged 104.8 in an absolute thriller and the second of the night that 'The Asp' was involved in but this time on the receiving end.
He put that right though as the former UK Open champion dispelled the charge of Joe Cullen who has been one of the main standouts in the competition. It was a narrow 6-5 win over 'The Rockstar' - who himself hit a 170 checkout in defeat but he booked his place.
That left Clayton and Cross to face off and it was 'The Ferret' who starred easing past the former World Champion 6-1 with a 97 average, two ton plus checkouts including a 142 and 6/15 on his doubles.
'Voltage' didn't do a lot wrong only getting one dart at double which he pinned; but the true mark came in the scoring column.
While they were tied at one a piece for 180's, nine 100+ and nine 140+ scores for Clayton compared to six and three from Cross told the story; as the Welshman put himself in the final and continued his brilliance.
One more night remains of the PDC Home Tour, only four players remain - who will be crowned champion?
